The 7th Marie Claire Greece Power Trip set the stage for women taking action
The 7th Marie Claire Power Trip brought together inspiring women at Cape Sounio, for a day dedicated to empowerment, leadership, and change. Throughout the event, influential voices such as President Katerina Sakellaropoulou addressed key topics, from women’s roles in politics and the fight against gender stereotypes to broader participation in public life. Tonni Ann Brodber of the UN's Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund emphasized the importance of peace, autonomy, and women’s leadership in building inclusive societies, while Katerina Evangelatos, Artistic Director of the Athens Epidaurus Festival explored the evolving place of women in art and culture. Author Amanda Michalopoulou called menopause “a revolution,” urging a shift in how we speak about female experience and aging. Actress Emmanuelle Béart shared powerful personal reflections on abuse and mental health, sparking conversations about resilience and recovery, while Greek-Italian actress Valeria Golino shared her humorous and deep reflections about women finding freedom and voice as they age. This year’s Power Trip celebrated the strength, creativity, and solidarity of women shaping the future, proving once again that when women lead, the world moves forward.
