Prix du Roman Marie Claire 2026, a winning celebration of women’ stories

The Prix du roman Marie Claire France is awarded each year to a recent French-language novel that portrays the life of a woman, past or present. Organized in partnership with Montblanc, the new edition of Marie Claire France's Prix du roman, was presided by the writer Marie Darrieussecq, highlights seven novels with distinctive styles. This year again, the jury is made up of two booksellers and three members of the Marie Claire editorial team, joined by creative figures at the forefront of their fields, all of whom share a passion for words. With Madame Bovary, ma mère et moi, a book with three heroines, Samira El Ayachi wins the Prix du roman 2026, the award was presented to her at the Paris Book Festival in April.
