What motivates women to keep breaking down barriers and challenging the status quo? On March 8, Marie Claire Australia held its annual Marie Claire Australia #IWD Breakfast, in partnership with Coach. Hosted by Marie Claire editor, Nicky Briger, the stellar lineup included powerhouse singer Jessica Mauboy (who also graced the cover of the magazine’s IWD special issue), politician Tanya Plibersek, Hollywood’s hottest producer Bruna Papandrea, investigative journalist Jess Hill and Australian of the Year, Grace Tame. Topics ranged from sexism and self-worth to Indigenous rights, coercive control and empowering survivors of sexual assault.
